On Sunday, Jessie Buckley became the first Irish actor to win the Academy Award for Best Actress. The silhouette of her custom, red-and-pink Chanel ensemble might nod to Grace Kelly, but for vintage pattern aficionados, the colours are pure Givenchy.

This ad for Hubert de Givenchy’s first collaboration with McCall’s shows his couturier original in light pink topped with a red stole. (The pattern is McCall’s 3624.)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀
