For her first appearance in American Vogue, Anjelica Huston flew to rural Ireland with Richard Avedon and fashion editor Polly Mellen. Mellen opted to use several Vogue Patterns on the shoot.

I remember when Vogue magazine used to feature a half-page ad in the back of every issue that highlighted a Vogue pattern. Now I suppose they’d rather die than do such a thing. Do you think fine dressmaking will ever make a comeback?
