This Christmas, SHOWstudio (est. 2000) released a free couture pattern for a Rahul Mishra jacket. It’s the first haute couture offering in the Design Download series, which launched in the website’s second year online. The new Mishra couture pattern is a current-season design that also coincides with SHOWstudio’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

The Emilie jacket is a double-breasted, corset-style peplum jacket from Mishra’s Fall-Winter 2025 haute couture collection, which was inspired by Sufism and Gustav Klimt. The name Emilie is likely a reference to Emilie Flöge, the Viennese designer who was Klimt’s life partner — especially when you compare the jacket’s Secessionist gold, silver, and lapis embellishment with her 1902 portrait.

This collection was Mishra’s first to include couture millinery by Stephen Jones.
Based in Delhi, Mishra is a champion of sustainability. In both haute couture and ready-to-wear, he is known for using hand-embellishment like embroidery and applique, lending support to Indian handicraft — what Suzy Menkes calls “empowering handwork.” (See Vogue Paris online.)
From the previous season, this editorial photo of Rahul Mishra Spring 2025 haute couture was included in the same magazine issue as last winter’s Couture Pattern Museum story:
